Cool J's Premium Water ice

Our start

Founded in 2016, Cool J’s Premium Water Ice is the brilliant idea of a then 17yr old, former Charter School of Wilmington student John Hargrove. With support from his parents Marvin and Tia, they started the business and Cool J's was born.

Our name

So where does the name come from? When John was a baby all the women would ask to hold him. Seeing that the ladies loved him so much, he was given the nickname Cool J.

Our mission

John insisted that Cool J’s not just have the best water ice and soft serve ice cream, but be the best place to enjoy it as well. The mission is to deliver an experience that brings people together and puts smiles on their faces.
