Johnson's BBQ is a Black Owned Soul Food Take-Out Restaurant, established 1954 by James Johnson, today owned and operated by his son Dwayne Johnson. Johnson's BBQ is located in the South Bronx. Johnson's is famous for their pork BBQ ribs and fried chicken dinners. They are also known for their homemade sauces! Food is prepared fresh - daily with freshly grown collars greens and candy yams (no canned goods), not to mention the baked macaroni and cheese made from scratch. The homemade sauces give the chicken and ribs a distinct taste that will keep you coming back. Johnson's BBQ is a staple in the community and acts as such, their philanthropy throughout the years has kept their longevity, along with their great customer service and great soul food.
