We started our company by interviewing 300 women and 100% of them expressed a need for more user-centric, functional apparel. Approximately 90% of women’s dresses don’t have pockets or have fake pockets. Furthermore, women’s garments are often constructed with lightweight material, leaving wearers cold. Our blazers rarely contain internal storage as in men’s wear, and styles are often difficult to wear. These offensive discrepancies between men and women’s fashion are endless. Based on this (and the cultural node that implies femininity = instant objectification), we decided to engineer a new kind of apparel for women; fundamentally based on our unique daily needs, equally incorporating both sublime beauty and practical functionality, and inspiring delightful action.
Our premier product, The Playsuit Reinvented is a beautiful, go anywhere, do anything, utility suit for women. More specifically: it is a functional jumpsuit equipped with a useful array of features, that tackle women’s (previously overlooked) fashion cumberances. External pockets hidden in the outer seams, fit your iphone, and are made with thin mesh to provide bulk-free storage. An internal chest pocket provides easy access to credit cards or lip balm. Under each sleeve is a cotton bra-strap loop to keep straps in place, while flared shorts (with a skirt-like design) make running around the city in “a dress” a secure affair. The crotch of the shorts can be opened and closed with a button clasp – making trips to the restroom roughly 20 seconds quicker. Each Playsuit is made with a heavy, cotton knit fabric and lined with a sweat wicking rayon, the suit is durably tailored yet accommodating and soft.
